New wastewater treatment plant
National Grid had a requirement to separate their drainage system from the adjacent Cottam Power Station complex. We were appointed to carry out the project works involving the installation of a new wastewater treatment plant and modifications to the firefighting water supply system.
The project was delivered with glowing praise from National Grid for the quality of work and the safe systems of operation which were implemented on site.
As part of the wider site services separation scheme, we were also awarded the project by Critec Power to undertake the civils infrastructure for the new low voltage supplies to the substation site.
The works
- Temporary diversion of the existing foul drainage system.
- Installation of a new wastewater treatment package plant, including deep excavation and temporary shoring system.
- Drainage works, including adaptations and connection works, precast concrete manhole chambers, and disconnection from the existing system.
- Modifications to the existing firefighting water supply system, including new hydrant and pipe disconnections.
